Moooooo!
My kids always have the most interesting conversations with each other in the car. Today, I was driving home from the gym when Brayden said to Colby, "Did you know that cows have hamburgers in them?" To which Colby replies, "Nooo, they have chocolate in them!"

Colby
As always, Colby is my one that says funny things! My mom got to my house today as I was putting away things I bought from Wal-mart. She asked Colby if he was good at Wal-mart. He said,"Nope." And then my mom proceeded to ask him what he did that wasn't good. He said, "I asked Mommy for stuff and she wouldn't buy it for me." Silly Boy.

Fun Game!
This is the "fun game" that Haleigh posted on her blog. I Googled "Heather needs" and came up with this:
1. Heather needs to start wearing a brassiere.
2. Heather needs some bodyguards.
3. Heather needs two therapists.
4. Heather needs a childhood.
5. Heather needs gatorade.
6. Heather needs your financial support.
7. Heather needs veggies.
8. Heather needs to be in the loop more often.
9. Heather needs special attention.
So, if you'd like to write me a check, I'm taking donations!!! Ha Ha!!

Brayden's Spring Sing
Recently Brayden had his "Spring Sing" at school. He was singing around the house for weeks! In his performance he sang "Five Green and Speckled Frogs", "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" and "I'm Bringing Home a Baby Bumblebee". Bob's dad and brother happen to be in town for his performance. Brayden was so excited to have a full audience (at the Spring Sing AND at home!). Colby has even taken upon himself learning the songs. They sing constantly in the back of the car! So cute!

Kids say the funniest things!
I went to Costco today with Colby. We were in the milk isle getting milk when Colby decided he REALLY wanted "red" milk. (the milk with the red cap - whole milk) I always get "blue" milk (2%) for my kids and "pink" milk for me (fat free). They think I get pink because I'm a girl! Anyway, on with the story....Colby kept begging for whole milk. So, I explained to him that "red" milk is for babies and that the extra fat helps babies grow big and strong. He thought about that for a second and said,"Well, we want to buy a baby.......and then we can buy some "red" milk!" I couldn't stop from chuckling...if only it were that easy!!

My Sweet Boys
Boys, boys, boys!!! I always imagined myself with girls. What was I to do with these two rambunctious boys?! They like to tackle each other and play in the dirt. I've realized that no matter how tough a boy thinks he is (including my husband!), there is always a sweetness that goes along with it.
Yesterday I was helping Brayden clean his room. He stopped in the middle of putting books away and gave me a hug and said, "I love you , mom." It was so sweet, I wanted to cry. Whenever I am doing something with him, he often stops to tell me he loves me. This makes all the sacrifices a mom makes worth it.
Colby has been waking up at 6:30 lately - so he has taken up napping in the afternoon again. Whenever he wakes up from his nap, he comes and hugs me, asking me to hold him. (This is rare now that he's 3) This is such a special time for me to just sit and hold him.
I can't end this blog without mentioning where my boys got there sweetness....my husband. There have been times that I've listened to Bob singing to my boys while rocking them to sleep, or even explaining patiently how an airplane flies. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful husband who is such a good example of a man for my sons to look up to.
What can I say, I love having my sweet boys!
