My friend Amy e-mailed this to me.....rather logical, don't ya think?! ;)
1. If you are choking on an ice cube simply pour a cup of boiling water down your throat. The blockage will instantly remove itself.
2. Avoid cutting yourself while slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold while you chop.
3. Avoid arguments with the Mrs. about lifting the toilet seat by using the sink.
4. For high blood pressure sufferers: simply cut yourself and bleed for a few minutes, thus reducing the pressure in your veins. Remember to use a timer.
5. A mouse trap, placed on top of your alarm clock, will prevent you from rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the snooze button.
6. If you have a bad cough, take a large dose of laxatives, then you will be afraid to cough.
7. You only need two tools in life - WD40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.
8. Remember: Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.
Thought for the day: SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES. THEY'RE NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING, BUT THEY BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHEN YOU PUSH THEM DOWN THE STAIRS.

The time has arrived!
We knew when Bob took his Associate Manager position at work that we would eventually have to move out of state when he became an Agency Manager. We tried to keep an open mind as to where. We first were looking into Wisconsin. The freezing cold winters weren't exactly my thing and it just didn't feel like "us". Then we were thinking about Las Vegas. After praying about it we still felt a little doubtful. Finally a position in Reno opened up. Perfect! Cooler weather - not freezing, Lake Tahoe right there for skiing, camping & mountain biking (Much to Bob's liking!). And it just overall feels right. So - we plan on moving there toward the end of September! It will be really hard to leave friends and family behind, however, I do feel this is the best choice for our family. Reno here we come!!!

Flashback
My cute little Brayden! I never thought I could love a baby so much! Becoming a mother put a whole new meaning to my life. He will now turn 7 this month! My how time flies!
About a month ago I took my kids to Mesa frozen Yogurt. Brayden was amazed - When we sat down to eat our frozen yogurt he said super excitedly, "Mom - when I grow up - I want to work in an ice cream shop and get people ice cream! That would be the coolest job!" I thought it was cute. Then - a couple weeks later we had some guys come to our house to fix some of our broken tiles. And Brayden said super excitedly,"Mom - when I grow up I wanna be a handyman and fix peoples tiles in their houses!" He went around the house pretending to fix things. And then on Monday night we went to Bahama Bucks. Brayden turned to me - very serious like - "Mom - I don't want to be a handyman when I grow up".....and he paused for a dramatic effect......"I wanna make snow cones!!" Man - if only I could have that kind of passion for life!!
Next came my little Colby boy. What a happy, sweet baby!....until he became my stubborn, mischievious toddler....and he still hasn't outgrown that! As a matter of fact, yesterday I went to the mall. I was trying to do something fun for the kids - they've been cooped up inside so much this summer. I thought it would be fun to eat at the mall and let them play at the play area. My friend Amber and her kids came too. After eating and playing I wanted to glance in Children's Place real quick. Big mistake. Colby was a little crazy boy. I got a phone call from Shannon and while I was going over what we were doing for mutual that night, Colby bit my butt!! Yes - in the middle of the mall - my son BIT my BUTT!! I yelped and dropped the phone and it took everything I had not to strangle him! What the heck? Where does he come up with this stuff? However, no matter what he does - he looks up at me with his big, brown eyes and says, "I'm sorry Mom." so sweetly - and it melts my anger away. He definitely gets his big innocent eyes from me - so I can only assume he gets the butt biting from Bob! ;)
And my toodle noodle, Lily! It's amazing how with each child you wonder if you will ever be able to love another as much as you love the previous. And you always do! She has been such a delight to our family!
She had a well child check yesterday morning. She weighs 15 lbs. 8 oz. And She is in the 95% for her height and 75% for her weight. And a whopping 25% for her head circumference! Big girl with an itty bitty head! She is grabbing everything in sight now and lets out giggles all the time! Plus she is a pro at rolling over! I just love her to pieces!
